  1. It was decided at the meeting tonight that they will keep their guard and add a dance team. The parents spoke up.
  2. I know this wasn't the thread for this but I'll plunk it down here anyways. Round Rock will have a different look next season. They are transitioning to a dance company. Alissa Jones will head the new dance company. She was the Dragonette director for 9 years. The new dance company will be called Dragon Fire. The current guard will still have their winter guard season.
  3. It looks like it's an all day ticket.
  4. Go to iHSFFAN football on youtube for RRISD. They show the halftime.
  5. Round Rock's varsity performs at halftime on the 15th. Their band calendar says whether JV of V is performing.
  6. Subscribe to the iHSFan Webcast Network you tube page. There is a link on the Round Rock Dragon band FB page. They cover the RRISD games. Tonight's games are Stony Point @ Austin, Cedar Ridge @ Cedar Park, Weiss @ Round Rock, McNeil @ Del Valle and Eastview @ Westwood. Some of the games start at 7pm others at 7:30pm so you should be able to see multiple bands perform. RR/Weiss game is at 7pm, Cedar Ridge/Cedar Park game at 7:30pm. They cover halftime and don't talk over the bands.
  7. The guard member dislocated her knee. I saw that fall at SA BOA. I bout had cardiac arrest when that happened but they recovered quickly.
  8. I believe Round Rock's first time of getting their full show on the field was last week at area.
  9. Round Rock ISD’s $572 million bond package was voted down a few years ago by mostly those on the Travis county side. Round Rock high school built a new school a few years ago. They were suppose to tear down the old school but to my knowledge it is still being used in some capacity. It's mega school. I don't think there are any plans at the moment to build a new school.
  10. I went over and watched Round Rock practice last night. They've added much more content to their show than what they had at Festival of Bands and the clinician Jeremy Spicer also was there too.
  11. I agree. I decided to make the trip up to Belton to watch them at the fb game. Missing a season of competitive marching has not had a negative impact on them at all.
  12. There's lot's of speculation made on these forums as well as hornrank. But I will apologize for my assumption.
  13. I would say it's a safe bet that they have more drill than what they were showing.
  14. Although Round Rock did not have a competitive season. They did start a marching fundamentals camp back in January which I'm pretty sure included the incoming freshman. They also have a spring marching show that will be presented to the parents/community in May. Although this does not make up for a competitive season. I'm sure it will be helpful. I'm assuming many bands will be doing something similar.
