Every Marching Contest 2023 (Spreadsheet)

Will someone be making a Texas-specific sheet? -
I’m so obsessed with the theme, the title, the music, the aesthetics, and they can SPIN! So good!!
-
Yes it was a 99.4. DB score tonight still very impressive!
-
If the Bellevue video they have up on YouTube is indicative of what they did today, it does all feel very *choose your own adventure*
-
Interesting! I will have to see it 👀
-
Y’all keep saying this but I went back and watched their Dallas run and I have seen FAR worse. They’re out there doing their best just like everyone else.
-
I’m not surprised at all by their reclassification. I think it’s warranted. TCGC had to add a second day to the State weekend so unfortunately it looks like they are cutting costs to pay for Reed.
-
Friendswood is not listed in the standings anymore. Did they get bumped or drop out?
-
Where do we find this drive 👀
-
What do we think the odds are for reclassification at this point? Those friendswood girls are throwing Open class skills for sure, and still 4 weeks until Dayton.
-
I haven’t seen them, but I’ve seen several IW guards that are just in that class because their performers are “over-age”, so they don’t really have a choice but to compete in there.
-
I understand how the Steering Committee operates. All top 3 finishers at any regional are required to submit for review. I’m just confused how their score and run qualified a promotion when the guards below them were incredibly close to catching them in score. We usually see promotions when a score heavily surpasses the class. Not to mention they ended that show’s prelims in 4th. I just would love to see them succeed and hope they can work up those Open class skills and design for Dayton.
-
This is also why we see smaller Open and World classes in general. Colorguard is an inconsistent activity with directors moving around constantly and schools not receiving consistent support. Some storied Open and World programs from the past are sitting in lower classes now.
-
Promoting Jordan was a mistake. Their show is meant to be successful in A class, and I’m not understanding how their Houston score or run qualified them to be promoted to Open class, but not Clear Brook? Let them have a successful A class season, which is a HUGE feat in itself. They should’ve won the Austin regional in A class, not missed out on Open finals. I understand a promotion is an achievement within itself, but not when it sacrifices the current season’s success. A win shouldn’t mean it’s time to move up.
-
Is this confirmed? They are still on the Austin schedule in A class.

Yep! NB’s 2007 show was essentially Churchills 2002 show. Different ballad. NB’s show was titled “75 Seasons” in honor of it being their 75th season. They were 1st runner up for 4A State at Area D. -

If we're showing up right as Finals begins do you think we will have trouble parking/getting in? I remember 2019 being a huge line to re-enter the stadium. -

The schedule was made in order of sign up. So earlier you signed up, later you perform.
