  1. Congrats to all bands for making this year's BOA San Antonio Super Regional one for the record books! Literally!! 🔥🔥🔥
  2. Vista Ridge has one of the coolest / most fun shows I've ever seen! I would have been absolutely stoked to perform a show like that. Killer job all around!
  3. No kidding! I'd love to see BOASA move to a Prelims > Semis > Finals system. The depth in this event is UNREAL.
  4. I didn't catch Marcus during prelims, but I can absolutely see why they won GE. The combination of staging, visual design, and musicality was truly spectacular. What a show!
  5. The meteoric rise of Bridgeland is beyond impressive. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised to see them challenging for a BOASA trophy within the next few years. 😎
  6. I just want to be able to buy DVDs (or today's equivalent) of all the shows from each year. It's beyond disappointing that I can't easily show my family / friends some of the greatest shows of all time unless I can somehow magically find them on YouTube.
  7. I don't care what the judges say... Cedar Park has one of best shows this year. Sensational soloists, incredible visuals, amazing music, iconic look -- this show has it all! 🔥
  8. I still have no clue what Round Rock's show is about... but they looked great and sounded fantastic! I don't know that I've ever seen a uniform intentionally try to blend in with the turf from the bottom before, but it's certainly a cool effect!
  9. Back in my day ('00-'04) LD Bell was consistently a top contender. It has been quite some time, so it's really cool to see them back in the top half!
  10. John B. Alexander - Making a statement! Literally! 🔥
  11. Agreed! Any band marching contras is certain to capture my interest. 😎
  12. I thought they were great! They're not a very large band, but boy do they produce a huge sound! Their soloists and front ensemble were COOKING! Loved the varied heart-shape sets sprinkled throughout their show as well. Great job!
  13. I thought they did a fantastic job! They looked clean, sounded great, and did a good job of really stretching the field. The soloists were on point and seemed to be having a great time. The book fire "trick" was really neat!
  14. CTJ has one of the most unique and just downright fun shows I've seen in a long time. Kudos!
  15. RR in 10th for visual ensemble and 2nd for individual ensemble is WILD. Cy-Fair in 3rd for visual ensemble and 12th for individual ensemble too.
  16. The area is fine. Last year, neither of the C-Stat schools would have made it to State. This year, both did. Seems like there's plenty of parity. Realistically, I don't see any of the schools from this area making much of a dent at State... but happy to be proven wrong next week!
  17. Final Results 1 - A&M Consolidated [advances to State] 2 - College Station [advances to State] 3 - Porter 4 - Magnolia 5 - Magnolia West 6 - Galena Park 7 - Port Neches-Groves
  18. Interesting. Last year was Magnolia, Porter, & College Station (in that order).
  19. Magnolia and Porter are my predictions for State
  20. I believe the directors have received full results, but I haven't seen them on the LSP website or social media pages.
