Now that we are approaching region… It looks like this will be a battle between fair and bridgeland for first, although it seems fair is winning that matchup as of right now

Wow! Not only do they sound great but they look great as well. Really loving the vibe of the show so far, and from the later videos the band uniforms look gorgeous as well. So much potential and I cannot wait to see this show cleaned up later into the season. (Assuming this is pearland based off of the maroon shirts worn on their side.) Did anyone happen to catch the name of their show?

really doubt they'd be able to snag a 3rd place spot, the split between reagan and fair (3rd and 4th) last year was 2 points, unless one of the top three has an outrageously bad run, fair will likely be in the 6th-4th place area

As everyone else has been saying, top four is very difficult to predict right now, but if there was anyone I would be vying for first it would probably be either Cy Woods or Cy Fair (Fair peaks earlier than woods but woods has upped their game recently so I think it’s an even matchup) 1. Cy Fair/Cy Woods 2. Cy Fair/Cy woods 3. Seven Lakes 4. Wylie East 5. Klein Oak 6. Clear Brook 7. Friendswood 8. SFA 9. Oak Ridge 10. Foster 11. Jordan 12. College Park

Not sure how I feel about the drill for this show just yet but cy woods is sounding very good for where they are right now

Since the woodlands have dropped this comp for Katy, for the first time in the history of this regional we will have a new champion!

I heard they dropped conroe due to homecoming complications, will definitely shake up the top six here

It gets pretty bad, took forever to find a spot last year, my best recommendation is to get there earlier than you think you should

Yeesh, can’t even imagine what the call time for a performance that early would be!

I love how they’re using more anime music as part of their repertoire after last year. Ost’s from anime, games, movies, etc. are highly underutilized in the marching arts (disregarding copyright costs)

Cy-Fair HS - “Caging the Swarm”

I want to give a HUGE congratulations to all of the Texas indoor percussion groups who performed tonight at WGI world championship finals! In scholastic world we had: 7th place- Cy Fair HS with a 93.413 9th place- Clear Brook HS with a 90.575 10th place- Burleson Centennial HS with a 90.313 12th place- Boswell HS with an 89.200 And in independent world we had: 8th place- Monarch Independent with a 93.000 15th place- Vigilantes Indoor Percussion with an 80.925 Congrats to all groups for representing Texas so well!

Not too long before a band ends up falling off the edge, we’ve been on it for a little while now

Cy woods and bridgeland were pretty close last year and they've been getting better with each season, I would say cy-fair is in that realm too but they seemed to dip in performance level after the area contest this past year

This area is a host to many rising bands, and ever since its creation has been a wildly unpredictable and competitive area. Will Katy take a state qualifier spot after missing out over a tie last year? Will Cy-Fair win again or be overthrown by Bridgeland, Woods or 7L? Could Jordan possibly make state a year after becoming a 6A? Could we finally get Area I rep in state finals this year? Who knows!

It would be awesome to see some smaller programs get a chance to shine here! Really interested in the lineup for this one

It's interesting to me that they still haven't determined the site for the competition, could we possibly see a different venue for the even conferences this upcoming season? Or is it just a courtesy until the Alamodome has officially been reserved?
