  1. Welcome Visitor2020!!! I have been on the Crew with CTJ for 9 years now....3 more to go. Crew in NEISD is a great community. I have had great experiences with all our sister schools as well as the schools at the competitions. Depending on the school, it is a lot of work but you'll be in great shape by the time November rolls around. Strap in for a wild ride and don't let your freshman give up the first couple days of summer band. We moved into CTJ my daughter's freshman year...from a school that marched Military style!!! She was overwhelmed the first three days but was all in after that.
  2. I would love to see Seven Lakes jump into the mix this year. I saw them in McAllen and met some of their Road crew as well. Great up and coming band. There is so much talent this year and the bands are all so close. It is going to come down to who is "ON" the most. I just wish I could watch more bands but Crew duties call and those trucks don't load themselves. Best of luck to everybody participating this weekend (and on Monday-Wednesday)!! Yell for all the kids when they take the field....and be sure to give the road crew some love too. Stadium rehearsal calls!!!
  3. 8 years (3 more to go) on the road crew for one of those San Antonio bands. Year 7 I didn't have a kid in the high school band but my 8th grader (now a freshman in the band) at the time wanted to road crew and got director approval to do so. So I did one year without a proverbial dog in the hunt. Wouldn't change it for the world either. Proud to say he out worked a good bit of the adults on the crew.
  4. Where can one find the archived UIL spreadsheets? I have been looking for days with no luck. I am a number cruncher and find their scoring intriguing and erratic at the same time.
