The entire band was holding their breath. Especially after the amazing run we had in rehearsal tonight.

We aren’t aiming for the ceiling, we are aiming for the STARS. (Our directors have been saying cheesing stuff like this all season.)

Thank you so much for noticing! Our prop dads worked extremely hard to prepare them in time for finals!

This encounter is sort of similar to a band member interaction. At the football game last Friday it was Hebron’s hoco and we were playing Irving Nimitz. The Nimitz flutes were doing some fun choreography in the stands, so the Hebron flutes started doing it too and then the Nimitz flutes put their flutes together to make a heart. And so did the hebron flutes and they went back and forth communicating the entire night. It was quite special and quite fun. They spelled at the word hi and then they asked each other to hoco, (we said yes) and when it was time to leave they spelled the word bye with a heart. One of my favorite football games. We are currently in a group chat with them on social media.

And you also have Grand Nats 2015 where Hebron scores the highest score ever in semis (which no has beaten yet) and has to go first in the finals line up which led to them getting third in the overall contest. Hoping Hebron 2019 might break the record…

Two years ago, 2017, hebron got first at DFW and then moved down at San Antonio. San Antonio is also a lot harder than grand nats. I remember when Hebron 2015 (360) went they got 5th place at San Antonio and then at Grand Nats they set the highest score ever.
