What an incredible finals! I'm so amazed by the level of difficulty these kids are playing. I loved every minute of it.

I, too, think my user name tells the story. I'm on the band booster board this year. I've also been one of those "pit parents" schlepping instruments and speakers all over. I'd die before I'd miss a football game. It's a way of life, I'm in 110%, and I'm proud of the kids, the organization, the faculty, and the other geek parents. I wouldn't change a thing.

This may be my first post, but I've been reading you guys long enough to feel like I know you. Thanks for the hilarity re: restaurant competition. I cried with laughter. I have my favorites, of course, but I'm rooting for everybody today. ALL these kids were sweating in August and swimming in September. Each and every young artist has demonstrated commitment, sacrifice, and passion- admirable traits that will forever serve them well. Do we want this band or that band to advance? Of course we do. But we love them all regardless of what a couple judges have to say. The kids know what's at stake. They WILL rise to the occasion. Let the chips fall where they may.
