  1. Most likely there is an extra cost on the band fee, and/or monthly payments that go towards the trip. Obviously extra fundraising does help towards this, but transporting 200-350 kids plus directors, chaperones, equipment, etc. is no easy task.
  2. Flower Mound and Marcus are on rotation, they'll be back in 2025 From what I've heard Bridgeland is all but confirmed, and Rouse and Leander are thinking of going. Vista Ridge I highly doubt will go considering they went in 2021 and had the Rose Parade in 2022, and Reagan has an odd rotation but I doubt they go next fall.
  3. Shoutout to our honorary Texas band Avon! 13 Years of waiting, now come down to San Antonio again.
  4. Not taking panels into account this is my ranking - Vandegrift Ronald Reagan Rouse Vista Ridge Round Rock Leander Bridgeland Cedar Park Cedar Ridge Westwood
  5. Will rank what I have so far after Reagan, but holy crap some of these bands can play.
  6. I'm sure they're not Vandoren since he normally posts about the bands he writes for on his Instagram.
  7. I can give you arrangers Vandegrift - JD Shaw? I think Marcus - Michael Klesch Hebron - Dave Glyde/Michael Martin Flower Mound - Wayne Downey Vista Ridge - Ryan George The Woodlands - Wayne Downey Ronald Reagan - Aaron Guidry Coppell - Ryan George Pearland - Jim Wunderlich Bridgeland - Jim Wunderlich Cy-Fair - Bryan Harmsen Waxahachie - Evan Vandoren Round Rock - Vince Oliver Keller - Carol Britten Chambers (90% sure)
  8. Welcome! Considering Cedar Ridge placed 3rd here last year, and Rouse had won the Austin regional over Vandegrift this past year, size doesn't really determine if you are good or not, but it does help! When it comes to being loud, it's all about refinement of sound. More resonant hornlines will sound louder than bands that just blast.
  9. Just the fact that TWHS is probably the only guard in Texas that can toss 7's all at once, you don't really see that in Texas. An easy indicator is flags being in time as well.
  10. That "dance team" won them nationals 😄
  11. They move so well together, not sure there's much else to say
  12. For our friends, parents, performers in any of the bands that didn't place as well as they thought here and are going to San Antonio and/or Nationals: These sheets are not the BOA sheets, so no need to overreact based on these placements. Go out and have the best run you can, that's all you can do
  13. Because there’s a very good reason on why those bands have been good for so long, no need to discredit them.
  14. You aren't getting those till midnight lol
  15. I personally feel better about The Woodlands compared to Hebron here. Depsite the absolutely ridiculous music Hebron is pulling off on the field (again), I'm just not really sold on the visual package as well as the show itself. I don't think music can carry them in Indy, considering Carmel, TWHS, as well as Avon to an extent also play really well. Houston bands also win every year ending in a 3 sooooo
  16. Dallas also has three of the best bands in Texas in attendance!
  17. I think performance wise it’s close, but TWHS show is soooo much better. Not a fan of Pearland’s cookie cutter Wes show despite the kids performing the crap out of it.
  18. Clear Creek and Iowa County dropped this contest.
