Presents a lot of Joy to be Found
But if a Championship is to be Won
They need to pull out a better Run

That argument doesn't really hold water when Round Rock did worse at BOA SA in Visual GE (33rd place) then at UIL State in Content and Design (25th). I know that's not apple to apples but it's as close as we have.
Most likely the tarp meant nothing to their score.
Their issue this year is the Content in the Visual Caption of the their show in BOA and UIL. They got 28th in Visual Ensemble at BOA and 23rd in Visual Ensemble at UIL State, but scored much better in Individual Visual at both events.

I know there's a little bit left tonight, but I already have my prediction/medium take.
Every finalist from Saturday night that is eligible to repeat, will.
And you only have to look a tenth away
For the second band joining FloMo Tuesday.

Flower Mound had a run with a lot of timing and tuning issues. Tuning is an easy fix, but the kids are super spread out across the field the entire show and they’re juggling tons of responsibilities. Unless they had booked time at The Star or Jerry World, it’s also their first Dome performance of the season while all of their competition has had two runs already.
However, the show itself is incredible. And the biggest difference from Vitrify is that the kids are bought in and performing. I think that’ll take them a long way this week. Medal is far far FAR from out of the question tomorrow and Saturday.
and the outro SLAYED me.

Again I have to disagree with this idea that props are what set bands apart from each other. I don't deny that money plays a role in the marching environment, but it is not the reason that the bands at the top are where they are. Those bands got there because of the incredible talent of the students at those programs and the dedication of the boosters to support them. Look at Ronald Reagan, who in the past several years have been considered one of the best bands in the country yet have used zero props. Their 2019 production is one of the best shows this state has ever seen and it was built solely off the abilities of the students there. Props are cool to look at, but judges will not be swayed simply by the presence of them. All it takes is hard work and dedication from the students, the boosters, and everyone involved to build success within a program.

I loved that Pearland made finals in 2019, but their show stood out for being waaay easier than the rest of the field come finals. This year’s show took a massive step up in visual and especially music demand, and the band worked hard and rode it into finals again.
They’re the first band from Houston, outside of TWHS, to back-to-back in San Antonio since Spring a decade ago. I hope they ride this wave for a long while. They’ve arrived as far as I’m concerned, and cemented themselves as Houston’s clear #2.
