Plus we aren't manly and gross which is always a plus for any female tuba player.

ya our section of the band hall (its pretty cool we get our own wing of the band hall and no one else does) which is called "The Dugeon" for some reason is gross its always hot or smelly or both. unfortunately we have a freshman with THE WORST B.O and a jr thats just plain nasty

hey, hebron tuba dude, why are you guys so quiet in the retreat block? I leaned over and asked a black dude in your section what your football record was and he gave us numbers on his hands. do ya'll have to run or something when you talk?

Our only Tuba is a girl. She rocks pretty hard too. Well, we have another tuba that is just now learning how to play but he doesn't count.

My cousins came to a football game the other day, and I found out something very scary. My cousin (a girl) has started to play the tuba, and has expressed and interest in marching band. I'll be scared when (if) she get's exposed to high school tubas.

You could also argue that trumpets are smaller, more annoying and crappy sounding baritones but hey, an instrument is only as good as the person playing it.

I'm the section leader at Cypress Creek in Houston. We've got 8 players total. 6 competition spots. 1 girl, and she's going to be section leader when I'm gone. She's awesome and totally kicks my section into shape.

We're probably the laziest in the band, but its only cause we know when to try hard and when we can slack off. It sucks standing forever with that darn sousaphone on! So if we can get out of it, why not?

I saw the tuba octet at State on tuesday.(loooong trip) It was really awesome. I told my tubas about it and they want to play it. Anyone from Richland want to hook me up with the sheet music?

there's a girl in our band who played flute her freshman and sophomore year, and switched to tuba for her junior and senior years. She has both patches on her letter jacket, it's rather amusing =p
