bandtingz
During our full run to finish off the rehearsal at Gupton tonight, a crazy power outage occurred right in the middle of the closer (during the "meat grinder" set)! What was amazing is that the show continued and finished with such power and intensity. Definitely my favorite moment of the season so far! The show must go on!! Check out the footage: https://cphsband.smugmug.com/2019-2020-School-Year/Videos-Gupton-102819/i-m6mQt7B PS: Also, we have decided to bring back the black plumes from 2016! A great addition to such a dark and haunting show.

bandtingz
I fast forwarded to the last 30 seconds. That was really cool! Did y’all crash into each other or could you still see where you were going? Nobody was hurt, and everyone continued to march the drill. It's incredible how much muscle memory and spatial awareness can help! As a performer, it was by far the most electric (quite literally) moment of the season. LHSbandDad
Great job!! This reminds me of when I was in HS band we did a "lights out" show at halftime for Homecoming with fireworks. However, we had flashlights taped to our ankles so we could see and we knew it was coming. I am impressed that you guys made it to the end!! bandtingz
MikeKyu
The black plumes have made an incredible difference in the show. The pop during the 5/4 section and meatgrinder is subtle yet noticeable. Great decision by the directors. LeanderMomma
PSHSMom
How do you get that overhead view? Pretty cool you were able to finish in the dark! bandtingz

bandtingz
How do you get that overhead view? Pretty cool you were able to finish in the dark! One of the band parents has a drone, and he uses it frequently to film our rehearsals.
PSHSMom
One of the band parents has a drone, and he uses it frequently to film our rehearsals. It was just so steady, surprised it was a drone! Pretty cool!
