PantherBone
With the 2018 marching season almost over, why not start looking forward to the 2019 season? Predictions, anyone? Personally, I go to a 5A school (Princeton), and considering we just moved up and we are in Area B, I don't think we will go to the State marching contest. principalagent
The path is paved for a Rouse medal. I'm fulling expecting the Austin area to sweep again, but maybe Wakeland has something to say about that. BandDadtil2025
Mash
Predictions, Cedar Park, Rouse, Dripping Springs Way too early to really know anything. Cedar Park is always first until someone knocks them off, Rouse is charging fast, Dripping Springs always seems to make me smile. LeanderMomma
Will Weiss be 5A or 6A next year?

LeanderMomma
5A! They’ll be hot on the others tails for sure.
Omega
It's easy to say LISD (South) will take the gold and silver with Dripping springs and Wiess right behind fighting for bronze.
LostChoirGuy
Those 4 will definitely be in contention. I also agree that Wakeland will be a contender for a medal. meursault
kold
Area C. Poteet and Highland Park both made finals last year, and Forney made 13th, when they performed 2nd off a bad draw. I believe all 3 will make state finals this next year. Dgustof6150
El Gato_01
I would count on Roma and Sharyland Pioneer from Area G to a least be contenders for finals. The other Sharyland placed well at USBands this past Sat and Pioneer (which I think is stronger). Pioneer was 9th in their class at the Super Regional and Roma was 7th in their class and 43rd overall out the 84 bands. They were also both on that 2nd panel. For comparison Rouse was in Panel 1 and placed 27 overall (same class as Pioneer).
RHS2413CC
I feel like all the leander isd schools have a chance at finals. Cedar Park and Rouse are most likely locks but Glenn has a good chance at finals if they continue improving the way they have these past few years El Gato_01

LeanderMomma
What classification is Glenn in now? are the 5A already? I believe so, especially since Weiss definitely is and they don't even have a Senior class yet.

El Gato_01
Yes. Both Weiss and Glenn are 5A's this year.
MikeKyu
Next year, assuming the bands maintain their same director, designer, show writer lineups from this season I can see the top 4 in 5A ending up (in alphabetical order) asCedar Park Dripping Springs Rouse WeissGlenn has an outside shot but they need to continue their trajectory. Rouse and Weiss will be riding a very successful year and have great momentum and determination to make good noises in the Dome. Cedar Park will be out with a vengeance after having a season with only being judged in finals once and not being able to get input on changes. Dripping Springs will be back to avenge getting States 2017. 5A is going to be a fun contest year to follow.
DSbandnerd
I think CP will be a 6a school next year.
Samuel Culper
I think CP will be a 6a school next year. Nope. First, realignment doesn't happen between now and then. Second, Cedar Park is not going to grow big enough to be 6A. Probably ever.
DSbandnerd
Ok then I'm gonna go ahead and say 1. Dripping springs 2. Cedar park 3. Wakeland 4. Weiss 5. Rouse

LostChoirGuy
What was the name of that new school in Frisco that was really good this year? Also we have to account for which areas the bands are in and if they are competing for spots from area. jmartin1056

Guest
In what way? They were much better than expected. The show was kinda weird but they performed very well compared to past years at the SA super regional.
