Thenamesgrapejuice
I'm thinking about investing in a piccolo, but I'm not sure what type/brand is best. Any advice or recommendations?
takigan
When in doubt, Yamaha. Yamaha makes great everything, from their marching snare drums, to their Trumpets (the Xeno), to Flutes, to Euphoniums (I played on one in HS). The once exception being Clarinet, and even those aren't terrible. If no one responds to this and you can't find any better advice, just go with Yamaha. You likely won't be disappointed. Bandnerd03
This depends on what you intend to use it for. As a former all-state piccoloist, I recommend getting a Hammig piccolo for concert band. It has far and above the best tone. For marching band, I used a plastic Yamaha. Just don't get a metal piccolo. They tend to be more shrill and have more intonation issues than the plastic and wood piccolos.
