Maybe I can get this topic a little more interesting....

I played on a Yamaha for my concert horn (King marching baritone) for the last three years, but at the end of my junior year one of the graduating seniors played on a Wilson euph. Since he graduated and I became second chair (we only have 2) I got his horn (1st chair kept his own Wilson). The only problem is, I went from a small-bore mouthpiece to a large-bore mouthpiece. I was actually excited with this to begin with; my sound was much more open than before, and a ton more resonant. Shortly after I got it, though, I had to tune it, and discovered my Bb to be about 50 cents flat. Literally. So I adjusted accordingly, and then discovered that my F had become 50 cents sharp. After trying for weeks to adjust my emboshure (sp?) I decided that I had to find some alternate fingerings. I ended up pulling my first and third slides out about an inch and two inches (respectivally) and now I play all of my middle F's 1 and 3. As far as I can tell, my only problem lies in the mouthpiece difference. Any suggestions?

I went to TMEA last year and wow!! the stands are like being in heaven.

Besson has this really cool euphonium with the trigger for the 4th valve so f's and e-flats aren't sharp...don't really see the need in it but it sure does look cool.

Wilson horns sound really good but valves are harder to push down than any other instrument i've ever played.

Yamaha custom euph's are pretty good for high school players.

I say Besson makes the best euphoniums though.

Trumpets: For kids not strong enough to hold up a baritone(or euph).

So I finally have started to design the shirt for the Euphoniums. Here is my idea as of now:

1) On the front: A large Texas flag centered in the middle. Underneath it will say: EUPHS---BECAUSE WE ARE JUST BETTER IN TEXAS

2) On the back: Stock name list with school names included, grouped by last name, and at the top above the names it will say "THE ORIGINIAL, OFFICIAL TXBANDS.COM 2006 EUPH LINE"

3) On the right sleeve: Designed By: EURO_EUPH06

Color Choices) Gray, Blue, Black, or White

So???????
