This is what buying these tickets on Ticketmaster.com will cost you: Tickets (U.I.L. State Marching Band Contest - AAAA Tuesday Day Pass) Adult Day Pass - $20.00 x 1 Total Convenience Charge(s) - $6.10 Order Processing Charge(s) - $3.75 Will Call No Charge TOTAL CHARGES - $29.85 Here's the catch. The event is General Admission! You can't buy a specific seat for the UIL State Marching Contest, therefore purchasing these tickets on Ticketmaster.com is POINTLESS!!!!!! Yet, Ticketmaster still feels that you should pay an additional 50% when you can just buy them at the box office for 20 bucks with no up-charge. Screw you, Ticketmaster!!!!!! Early morning performances suck, but it's definitely not the end of the World. Haltom performed first at State 2004 and still ended up making Finals. Anything is possible! The birds in the Alamodome really loved the performance of Fowl Play and even decided to add their own chirping soundtrack to the mix. We were told that they go by area blocks and that in our area, we drew 3rd. I believe our director said it was about 3/4ths of the way through the day. Donezo Posted October 29, 2007 Report Share Posted October 29, 2007 Let's not forget that the first two bands to march state prelims in 05 were Friendswood and Poteet, who remained the top 2 all day long. And definetly sell some hoodies.. I wish we could do that but it'd be a whole process trying to get "permission" to sell that stuff. I usually just buy a mess of McDonald's gift cards.
